Market demo at Shaker Square NUFM 5/26/12
May 26, 2012
Today at the market I am going to do another version of the “breakfast bruschetta” It was such a hit a few weeks ago. Since the Shaker Market gets bumping very early I think this will be a welcome bite of food in the morning.
Basic structure to this recipes is as follows:
Buy great produce from many vendors. wash, prep/chop.
buy some amazing farm fresh eggs.
Buy some great cheese.
get a great loaf of bread either baguette or something that will make a nice piece of crostini/bruschetta
some sort of fat like butter or olive oil.
Add bacon if you like (I like). I will probably keep bacon on the side today to accommodate any palate.
Cook the produce in skillet with the fat. Also griddle the slices of bread in the mean time.
Add eggs to produce to scramble. Then add cheese.
top the bread with the scramble mixture and pop it into your mouth. Lovely bite of local goodness folks.
See you at the market.
Chef Brian.
